Lately, we have been shooting to improve our photography skills (pun intended), and opening our minds to new perspectives and capture everyday moments that we may take for granted at times. Many of the pictures we have taken are from our workplaces and home; that’s where we spend the majority of our weekdays. Our goal is to grow a “third eye” when it comes to photography and escape our usual norm of autos and motos. All the pictures included in this post are from the previous five days of the 365 challenge……360 more to go. As the year goes by check out our Tumblr, that’s where we will be posting our daily pics.
The 365-day challenge is a great way for anyone to improve their photography and moment capturing skills. The goal is to take a new picture every day, go through the entire editing process, and post. We plan to grow our compositional expertise and speed up our turnaround time. It will also be very cool to be able to look back and have a whole year of your life documented in photos; you’ll have snippets and memories of your days. Easy enough, but be warned, your willpower will be tested…
One thing we have noticed is at any given moment you may see a great photo opportunity. Most of the time you may not be able to take the picture but keep it in the back of your mind for the right time.
I noticed this great photo location during my regular work day, I couldn’t take it right then and there, but I saved it for the next day when it would be more practical, and I had the right equipment (tripod). I had to climb on top of the office after hours and shut off all the lights (don’t tell my boss).
Legend has it by the end of the challenge you will have evolved into a sort of photographic phenomena. We’ll just have to see ;).
Thanks for reading, comment below and let us know how the challenge has gone for you and if you’ll be starting it!
*Note: as the year goes by we will be writing update post, and keep you guys updated on any new found techniques.
