Last month we had the chance to spend our Sunday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the Rolex Motorsports Reunion. Thousands of auto enthusiasts also gathered to celebrate Monterrey’s annual car week. There are many events that are put together starting on Wednesday through Sunday, as well. We were in attendance for two of those, including the Rolex Reunion and The Ferrari Barnyard Event.
The Rolex Motorsports Reunion is every year at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Over 550 cars gather to race from Friday through Sunday. Many different cars can be seen at the Rolex Reunion, from pre-war autos dating back to the 1940’s to some classic cars from the mid 1970’s. Many manufacturers attend to show off their latest and greatest creations, Such as these:
Our favorite experience during these racing events is the first lap or take off. All the cars close together, pedal to the metal and redlining their engines to work their way up to first place. As a result, It’s an awe-inspiring adrenaline triggering moment, Check out the video below.

There was also many vendors selling racing goods, apparel, and memorabilia. Therefore, It’s heaven for anyone who is into motorsports and track days.
What is also great about the Rolex Motorsport Reunion is that the attendants bring their own sports cars. As soon as you’re walking into the event you start to see many really nice rides: McLarens, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, you name it they’re there.
If you decide to attend to next year’s Rolex Reunion make sure to get the tickets which give you access to the paddock. This way you fully experience these events, we highly recommend them. You’ll have the chance to see the cars up close and personal and ask the racing teams about their cars.
After the event, we were exhausted, being on our feet for 4 hours left us drained. Which brings us to the next point: if you are attending one of these events, bring plenty snacks, water, a hat, and sun block.
